President’s administration launches website for families to sign up.
On Monday, President Biden and members of the White House staff began a public relations campaign to raise visibility about the newly implemented increase of the Child Tax Credit. The new monthly payments to families with children aged 17 and younger will begin mid-July. As part of the publicity, the White House launched the website ChildTaxCredit.gov to help parents sign up for the federal program.
Individuals who have filed a tax return, or received a stimulus check, do not need to take any action to begin receiving payments. Vice President Harris commended the expansion of the program saying, “When more families know about how they can get the relief, that is how we will be able to lift our children out of poverty.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That the president and his advisors would seek God’s wisdom as they implement the Child Tax Credit.
- For the Lord to help Congress pass legislation that supports American families.
- For the Internal Revenue Service and the Treasury Department to manage these new payments effectively.
